A few days ago, our lovely Karen Williams from The Buddy Bag Foundation got in touch to ask if I could write a pattern to make tote bags for the Ukraine. The bags are going to be used as Resource Bags for the child support workers to carry special Tool Kits for when they are working with refugee families and their children here in the UK. The bags need to be 19.5” x 17” to fit in books, affirmation cards, mood dolls and a Buddy Bear all of which will help the child support workers to gain trust and encourage confidence and to help children and their families who have been through truly heartbreaking times. We would love your kind support and sewing super-powers to make this a success.
There are two ways you can support this campaign. Firstly, by downloading the pattern here – this can be downloaded for free but a voluntary donation of 99 pence would go towards supporting the invaluable work of the foundation. Secondly, by making and sending the tote bags to:
Buddy Bag Foundation
C/O Cookes Storage
Unit 16 Maybrook Road
Maybrook Business Park
Minworth, Sutton Coldfield
B76 1AL
However, if you’re not able to make and send bags, you can just download the pattern for personal use and make a voluntary donation of 99 pence. 100% of the profits (excluding the PayPal fees) will be donated to The Buddy Bag Foundation.
Thank you for taking the time to read and get involved.
